Staten Island

Staten Island is in the southernmost part of New York city 5 boroughs You can grab the Staten Island Ferry that runs across New York Harbor to Manhattan. It is known for its green park spaces and is often called the “borough of parks” with a count of 170!! It is home to some of the City’s oldest buildings. Located in the center of Staten Island is the historic Richmondtown which includes about 30 restored buildings dating back to the 17th century. The south shore boasts the Conference House Park, the site of early peace talks during the Revolutionary War. The north shore includes the Alice Austen House a 19th century childhood home of the pioneering female photographer Alice Austen. And of course, we cannot forget the iconic Verrazano Narrows Bridge, a suspension bridge that spans the Narrows, connecting Staten Island with Brooklyn.
